Fun little sushi place. Took a minute to figure out how to open the sushi shells but once I figured it out it was easy. The place was slow with only three customers.

I wish they would have spaced us out a little. I needed to attend a zoom meeting but I didn’t want to disturb others. The waiter didn’t like my request to move then seated the very next table right next to me. Not a big deal but the restaurant was empty. Just didn’t make sense.

Food was good but with it so slow I think some of the sushi was on that belt a while.

Have been here many many times, is a good first time sushi spot. Is a little bit pricey for the quality. Sometimes give out frozen food during dead hours or non busy hours. I highly recommend getting the non-sushi stuff like the chicken kaarage which is really authentic and the warabi mochi dessert. I liked the place. It was the mixture of sushi 🍣 and a robotic future theme. There was a conveyor belt with sushi on them. I ordered a miso ramen and it was good! This place was a great place but the only thing was that this place was kind of confusing at first, like we took the whole brown platter of the conveyor and I got scolded. But that's why I rate this place 4 Stars.

I'm not gonna lie this was the best thing I'd eaten in weeks, ate too much as well. I was full and happy but starting at midnight the next day, I have the worst food poisoning known to man...two days later I'm feeling even worse, so now I'm wondering if it was someone I came in contact with or the food I ate here... 😅 It was good regardless of me be horribly sick .. this is not to say I wouldn't eat here again but I have never gotten sick from Kura until now..

Fun place...know your way around sushi cuz they move pretty quickly down the line. Would love to see some roasted garlic on the edamame. Fun drink robot. Just know people near belt will spend lots of time passing plates down the table. Lots of varieties...loved the spider crab rolls.

I come here regularly! I love all Kura locations!
This one is my favorite because there is free parking and you don’t have to go near the heart of Houston!
Sushi is always good! The conveyer belt style lets you see a good amount of their menu and is a small serving so you have the opportunity to try something new without investing too much.
Staff is really chill and nice/charming!
The only negative is sometimes when I order off the screen, the kitchen sends one order when I asked for two, or they send the nigiri version when I ordered the roll but I’m not picky so I just eat! That has never happened at the Westheimer or downtown location for me.

Quality has gone downhill while prices have gone up. You mean to tell me these are the pieces of sushi coming out of Kura. 🤨 Just look at the pics attached!! It’s like they don’t even care about the food.

All the rice was just hand globbed on the plate with fish in the wrong direction or rice all stuck together. I had to separate the rice from two sushi pieces. I have never been served sushi like this 😂

I used to be able to get 5 plates of sushi and beef udon soup for $15 and now that is $25 but the sushi look less like sushi.

Please get quality control up in here. Lol

Love this place! The food is really good and pretty affordable (if you're just paying for yourself)
And the little robot that brings your drinks is so cute 😭😭
