Firstly, the Applebee's is permanently closed. Do NOT stay here expecting to have a restaurant within the same parking lot. The main picture they use for the listing is misleading. There's a few other options within a 5 miles radius, you will need a car.

Stayed for a few days for work. This particular location there were multiple guests with dogs. Which unfortunately involves dog barking even throughout the night. Unsure if they have a system in place to keep guests with dogs in certain areas to help avoid this. But it certainly wasn't in place for my stay.

I didn't watch much TV, but when I did, some of the buttons on my remote did not work. I had to use the controls on the TV itself. Upon inspection of the remote, it looks like a dog chewed on it. So I guess this hotel is just known for having dogs? I'm unsure, but it certainly seems like the case.

Overall the stay was ok. Staff was great, room was clean. But I will probably stay somewhere else in the future. Score - 6 out of 10

We stayed here 2 times on our road trip to and from Kentucky. The first stay we could hear kids in the room next to us screaming with excitement but it makes sense as it was the new year and it they did eventually chill out. The second time was pretty peaceful as we caught the end of the big snow storm and there weren't many people. The Applebee's attached is permanently closed but the Mexican places around it are really good. I've seen people say they got their cars broken into but we didn't have an issue with it. This location is in an industrial area so keep that in mind when booking. Overall we really enjoyed that all the rooms have little kitchenettes and the beds were comfortable. I also accidentally left my kindle here and I called and they did find it and did send it back to me. I'd recommend this location. The staff is very nice and the location really isn't terrible. I'm highly sensitive to noise and wasn't triggered at this location. I'd say best to bring some headphones or a Bluetooth speaker to play some white noise if you are worried about it. That is what I did. I do have to eat gluten free and their breakfast had options for that.

It was kind of a pain to get to. The hotel its self is very nice. Very nice gym. Breakfast was very good. We enjoyed that it was connected to Applebees so dinner was easy. The extra bedding for the pull out couch was terrible. The pillows were terrible. The walls were so thin we could hear everything around us. Even our air conditioner fan couldn’t drowned out the noise.

My favorite hotel stay in a long time. Stayed here with my spouse and two kids and we loved the size of the room, the pull out sofa so each kid had a bed, the kitchen area with real glassware and silverware, a lovely bathroom and lots of charging ports or outlets. The staff was so friendly and accommodating to get us an early check in and breakfast was very delicious and appreciated. Home2 Suites is my new favorite brand of Hilton. I got the best night of sleep I’ve had in a long time. Thanks for making us feel so comfortable!

Best sleep ever. Fantastic mineral water pool. Everything you need…laundry, fitness center, business center. Full kitchen in room..frozen food at front desk for purchase. Snacks and personal items to purchase. Free bottled water and cookies. Restaurant next door. Easy highway access. Across the street from KU Medical Center. Quiet and homey.

Spacious room but the pocket doors to the bathrooms were heavy and inconvenient. Beds were ok, sofa wasn't as comfortable and I was disappointed they did not have a smart TV for it being a more modern hotel.

Breakfast was ok. Typical continental breakfast and the dining space was ok. For the price that we pay for the hotel, we were expecting a little more variety or better quality in food.

The morning we left, we were in the parking lot packing up the cars and chatting with our travelling group when there was an announcement that yelled at us for loitering in the parking lot. It stated that guests needed to get in their car or go into the hotel. We are guests of the hotel, this was just uncalled for and rubbed us the wrong way. Most likely, not staying here again. 😒

Overall, we enjoyed our stay but I felt compelled to share some pros and cons we observed during our stay:

Pros: I was blown away at the aesthetic upon arrival. The vibe is very eccentric and the attention to detail as it pertains to decor + living spaces immediately caught my attention. The patio area was beautiful, the lobby was well kept, and the hotel was clean over all (at first). We also appreciated the few organic options in the store.

Cons:
Functionality within the unit: the units are spacious and comfortable overall but something we noticed straight away, and continued to wrestle with for the duration of our stay, are the bathroom doors. They are large, HEAVY, wooden sliding doors. There is a tiny locking mechanism toward the middle right hand side of the door which allows you to lock the door. However, opening and closing the door requires a lot of effort unless the door is already opened. There is nothing on the door that allows you leverage to open and close the door with ease from a completely closed position.

Next, the units are quite large, and equipped to sleep 6+ people with just ONE mirror outside of the bathroom. There is plenty of space to accommodate a second or even a third mirror + would have been quite useful.

Functionality within the hotel: we struggled gravely directionally, navigating the hotel. Finding the pool was difficult, finding the gym was difficult, and finding the restrooms throughout the hotel was difficult. There is minimal signage indicating the location of these places and they are very well concealed, and difficult to find unless you know where you are going.

Breakfast: with the overall vibe of the hotel, we expected a better dining experience. I didn’t eat any of the food so I can’t speak to that, but the dining area was messy, the trash was overflowing, the waffle maker was left smoking and unaddressed for at least the full 20 minutes we were present. Food options were slim and the “healthiest” option was plain Cheerios.
