Cool place to hang, great atmosphere and vibe here, with college students filling their loins with love, intellect and camaraderie. You can smell the ooze of young angst, anxiousness and happiness all in one at this place.

It was really good. I enjoyed the Natural History Museum and Biodiversity Research Center it’s very educational for sure. If your a Christian like I am and you believe that the earth is around 6,000 years old then be prepared to disagree with there point of view. They believe that the earth is over a billion years old due to science point of view. Other than that it’s really fun place to go for family and children to go. They have a lot of interactive stuff that children can enjoy doing. When it comes to parking make sure you’re parking at visitor parking and not backed in because they will give you a $25.00 ticket even though there is no signs saying no backing into parking spots. Also when you park into a spot make sure you are between the lines. Other than that it’s a good place to be at. You do have to pay for parking and it’s not expensive. It’s only a few dollars per hour. If you have a permit make sure you parked in a designated area for your permit or you can park in visitor parking too. There is no where on the KU campus to park for free.

Unique design that is a staple of campus. Stop giving me parking tickets here though.

The Kansas Union, KU's community hub, fosters open dialogue and inclusivity, empowering students to shape a better KU and community. Originally built as a memorial to 130 KU students who lost their lives in World War I, it was dedicated in 1926 by Chancellor Lindley. Despite undergoing renovations, expansions, and surviving a 1970 fire, the Union remains a lasting symbol of resilience.

This is our first visit to the college my son will be attending. It was a beautiful campus with a lot of variety in landscaping, buildings, services offered, and very nice people. Cant wait to visit, again..

Our family has owned homes in OWL since the 1800s. Growing up we spent a lot of time hanging around the Student Union Building. However, it appears to have been renovated significantly.

It was a place in which we routinely snuck into evens such a film society showings, and music events. Thanks to the Union Buijding I saw essentially all of the New Wave film era, as it was being created.

It was also the place for after school foosball. During the summer, the reading room was well air-conditions and has lots of material to read.

I loved the Student Union Building, and because my mother. spent 14 years getting all of her degrees and doing g research, the campus was like a second home. Ironically , when the time came, I ended up at UC Berkeley.
Warm memories of Lawrence, KU and the Union Building.
