We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Sullivan’s. Our server Darryl was great! He was knowledgeable about the menu, paid attention to us but wasn’t too overbearing. The food was delicious as always. We had the tomahawk steak, asparagus risotto, macaroni and cheese, crab fried rice and brussel sprouts. Can’t wait to go back again.

Overall, it was an okay experience. We went on Christmas Day so it is difficult to compare the quality. They were super busy and ran out of 2 appetizers that we wanted so that was disappointing.
Vibe was a typical old school steakhouse that feels like you are in your grandparents living room but it was cozy. Food took awhile to come out (due to the holiday I'm sure) but the server was super nice and felt for her bc it was super busy. Food was good tho! We ate the Brick Chicken and the Chilean Sea Bass. Wish the menu had a little more variety like a pasta or a hamburger but again it's a steakhouse so Steak may be the best bet!
Wine selection was plenty with some good options.
Parking was validated in valet or parking garage for up to 2 hours so that was nice!
Overall, I would recommend because it's clean, service was good, Food was reliably good and quality of food is high!

Decided to give this place a try for Restaurant Week and had a great experience! I ordered the salmon with the sauteed spinach and enjoyed it. Our server, Darryl, was amazing and was so personable and really elevated the experience for us. Will be coming back!

I dined here a few days ago. Great atmosphere and good service. The food is absolutely delicious. I gave it 4 stars because it took almost 90 mins before our food came out. Otherwise, my experience was great!

Could this be the best burger in Charlotte? Wow I did not expect this. Good lord their burger is fantastic. I don't think I've ever had a burger like this.

Horrible! Service, food, and atmosphere. Went for my cousins birthday and we were excited because it was our first time at this steak house! Our food took an hour to come out, the cooks and servers were being loud and joking the whole time, could literally hear the kitchen from my table, my cousins steak came out burnt after waiting an hour, my mac and cheese noodles were extremely overcooked and my crab cakes were also burnt. We politely told our experience to the manager, she apologized! She seemed young, overwhelmed & inexperienced. I will not be back, I would never recommend this particular Steak House!

Sullivan's Steakhouse is a decent place for a fancy meal and a good drink in a classic steakhouse environment. The place has a really nice feel to it and we had a really enjoyable time with the four of us there on a Friday night.

I'll start with the food, which I was disappointed in. I started with a spinach salad, with some minor modifications. I ordered it without mushrooms or onions, and it arrived without those, but it also lacked the hard boiled eggs it was supposed to have on top. The salad was great otherwise, with fresh greens and tasty ingredients. The bacon was cooked perfectly, which is typically a challenge for a salad. The highlight was the bacon dressing, which was simply amazing. I kept it to use as a sauce with my meal!

On to the meal, I ordered salmon that comes with asparagus. The salmon was cooked perfectly, so that was great as far as texture goes. Unfortunately, the fish was severely under seasoned. It really lacked flavor and I was glad I held onto my dressing from the salad.

As a side dish, I ordered sauteed baby spinach. As much as the salmon was under seasoned, the spinach was over seasoned. It was just way too salty, which took away from the garlic oil it was dressed with.

My wife ordered a filet and absolutely loved it. She was so happy to only eat half of it at dinner so she'd have half a steak to bring home for leftovers. So maybe my mistake was ordering seafood at a steak house! But I should be able to order something on the menu and expect it to be prepared properly.

As for libations, I drink wine, and they had a really good selection of wines by the glass. My wife enjoys Old Fashions and ordered two, one regular and one smoked, and she loved them both.

Service wise, our waitress was fantastic. She was engaging, conversational, and made sure our party of four was enjoying our time here. However, our waitress did not write down our orders when she took them, relying on her memory. Sometimes that's impressive, other times it causes problems. On this visit, there were some minor problems, which I think would not have happened had our order been written down when taken. I already mentioned the missing eggs from the salad. The other mistake happened with the smoked old fashion that both my wife and her friend ordered. The table next to us got a small show with their smoked drinks. When ours arrived, there was no presentation, which made us question it. Turns out the drinks weren't smoked and the bar had to remake them. It was corrected, but it didn't have to be that way.

The atmosphere is good at Sullivan's. The interior has a nice steakhouse feel. There's valet parking right out front. And the bar at the entrance seemed pretty cool too (and my wife and I could watch baseball there while waiting for our friends). The downside was that the AC in the main dining room seemed to be out or weak during our meal. The valet warned us about it, as when I got out of my car, he commented that I probably wouldn't need my sport coat inside as he heard the HVAC was broken that night. It seemed accurate! It was quite warm inside, but I did keep my sport coat on.

Overall, Sullivan's was an okay restaurant for us. The food and service were just okay, but maybe if I ordered what they're known for (steaks), I would have enjoyed it more. But it's still a great place to just sit with company you love, have some drinks, and enjoy being in a great environment like this together.

Darryl was fantastic, he read over our menu options and took amazing care of us. This was our first time at sullivans and we will definitely be back. From the derive to the food everything was great.
