I drove there to get an order to go. According to the reviews it was a good place. I was very disappointed when I got my bag, it was so light. The sushi are ridiculously small. I got 2 rolls and they were packed together in a small box and the box was not even full. By the way, taste was good. But I spent $20 for that small amount of food. Even supermarket’s sushi are bigger. Regardless of taste I won’t be back and I won’t recommend this place if you’re hungry

The food is great. They make their own dipping sauces, and sell them by the bottle to take home, I'm buying some for gifts. Tis the season ?The prices are amazing. They make you feel at home.

Great place for sushi and anything to do with sashimi but I think the portion is too small and the price is not. If you go for the taste, just go! But if consider the price too, probably you’ll need twice the budget.

I ordered a few separate plates and the chef combined everything into the large plate (called family plate or something). What’s inside is not the original family plate. I usually spend $25 for a full meal in LA but, here, it’s actually like $50 for me alone to get full. The sashimi pieces are pretty small. The poke bowl was also small. The roll, also, very small.

They have macaron ice cream in a mango flavor but I think it tastes 100% more like melon. Yuzu drink was good!

Free parking! No validation! Restaurant has parking lot which is great considered the area it’s in.

Small sushi spot. Don't let the size fool you. The sushi here is a good price and always tastes so so good. The people are always kind and give great service. My go to sushi spot

The restaurant is an unassuming spot. It’s in a shopping center. It’s pretty much sit around the bar… very basic. It’s not high end but sushi is of good quality, decent service and is good for getting in and out. Prices are reasonable.

I came here often, and would tell people that it was the best sushi in all of LA. I’m not sure what happened, if they got new staff or new management but my last two experience have been awful. I only decided to write this review because a coworker also expressed their bad experience, and I hope this sends a message for them to change course.
I’ll be quick, the first thing was no one was there to seat me, no problem I’ll seat myself, except the open seat I chose was sopping wet. My work pants soaked to my underwear in seconds. I’m on a lunch break and can’t go home to change. No one ever came to get my drink order. The rolls came out sloppy and fell apart, and if that wasn’t annoying enough it wasn’t the correct order and it tasted bad. This place is not cheap, something I always overlooked because the quality was just awesome, not anymore. I was a regular at this place but I can’t justify ever going back now. There are a few other examples I could give but I don’t really want to drag this place through the mud further. Just letting everyone here know that I used to rep this place with a passion and now I can never justify going back. Rip sushi koo will not be recommending u again.
